We celebrated excellence at our 22nd Awards Ceremony in April, and what a wonderful evening it was! Fourteen Saskatchewan Book Awards were presented to some of the best authors and publishers in the province at the Awards Ceremony. Thank you for contributing to the celebration by attending, donating, and volunteering. We look forward to your continued support as we move into the New Year.

Saskatchewan Book Awards not only helps you choose excellent books to read, we make a tangible difference for authors and publishers in the province. This positive result comes from the publicity surrounding the Shortlist Announcement and the Awards Ceremony, and through the various events SBA organizes to promote the books.

You can continue to show your support for Saskatchewan authors and publishers by buying their books or making a donation to our organization. Check out our lists of previous winners and shortlisted authors to guide you in making a book purchase, and ask your favourite bookseller for “Saskatchewan-made” titles. If you would like to donate to our organization, please consider donating through our CanadaHelps page. You can donate by credit card, Interac online, or Paypal, and they'll issue your charitable tax receipt right away! If you would prefer to make a donation by cheque, you can mail them to our office at 315-1102 8th Ave, Regina, SK S4R 1C9 and we'll send you a charitable donation receipt in the mail.

If you would like to donate in another way, we are still looking for hard-cover books for a special project for the 2016 Awards Ceremony. They can be dropped off at our office in Regina (315-1102 8th Ave) during regular office hours between 10 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday. The office will be closed from December 21-28 for the holidays but we'll back on Tuesday, December 29.

The shortlist for the 2016 Awards will be announced on Friday, February 12th in both Regina and Saskatoon, and the Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina with the wonderfully funny Dawn Dumont as our host. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.

Your tax-deductible donation will help ensure that SBA continues to recognize, reward and promote the work of Saskatchewan authors and publishers. Your donation makes a difference to their lives and work, provides economic benefits to the province, and supports the overall cultural life in Saskatchewan.

Thank you again for your generous support.

Best wishes for the holidays,

Courtney Bates-Hardy
Executive Director
