About the Book

Helen Knott, a highly accomplished Indigenous woman, seems to have it all. But in her memoir, she offers a different perspective. An unflinching account of addiction, trauma, and sexual violence, In My Own Moccasins exposes the legacy of colonialism and shows how Knott reclaimed her spirit.
