Summary Monica, a young secretary who longs to make a living with her writing, is offered a dream contract: to assist her idol, the legendary Will James, in the writing of his next novel. The relationship with the fifty-year-old alcoholic man will put Monica's dedication and loyalty to the test. Nonetheless, she will realize that they have more in common than meets the eye. Selling Points Will & Ernest is inspired by the life of famous writer, cowboy and illustrator Will James. The action takes place in Los Angeles, in 1942, during the last months of his life. Will & Ernest premiered at La Troupe du Jour in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in February 2020. Includes colour photos of the original production.

About the Author

Born and raised in Québec, Martine Noël-Maw has called Saskatchewan home since 1993. She is a French literature graduate from the Université de Montréal, and has authored almost fifteen books and a number of plays. Her work has earned her many honours, including two Saskatchewan Book Awards. Martine is also a translator and editor.
